Five steps for proper mounted bearings!

1、Use special tools for bearing mounting and dismounting

Special installation tools, can avoid the installation of tools and improper operation of the bearing damage. For example, when installing bearings, staff had used copper rod knock-in method, easy to cause uneven bearing axial force, causing cage deformation, rolling body damage, clearance becomes large, and copper rod in the knocking process, copper end flying into the bearing cage, easy to cause bearing failure.

2、Check the bearing well before Mounted Bearings

Check whether there are burrs, scratches and cracks on the bearing surface before the bearing is installed. Whether the bearing model is correct. For example, the model number is YRT50, the inner diameter of the bearing is 50mm, the outer diameter is 126mm, the height is 30mm, the limit speed is 600r/min, etc. All these information can be found on the internet.

3, check the bearing and rotor shaft fit size

When the motor is assembled, you also need to carefully check the fit dimensions of the bearing and rotor shaft when the bearing is installed, and the fit dimensions of the bearing outer ring and the end cap hole.

4, pay attention to ensure that the insulation is intact

For bearings with insulation design, attention should be paid to ensure that the insulation is intact. If the insulation of the bearing is destroyed during installation, the thin bearing oil film will be pierced by the shaft voltage, and the oil film will be pierced, which will not only make the rolling body poor lubrication conditions, but also generate electric sparks that will form galvanic corrosion on the rolling body of the bearing, causing the surface of the rolling body to be unlit and accelerate the wear of the bearing

5、Trial operation

In oil lubrication, the bearing temperature will reach a stable state in a short period of time before reaching the peak, therefore, the test run is relatively simple. It is recommended to keep about 30 minutes at 2000-3000 revolutions per minute, and gradually increase to working speed. However, when the dmn (rolling body center diameter*speed) exceeds the range of 1 million times, the speed should be increased by 1000-2000 revolutions per minute to ensure safety.

6.Bearing speed

The peak temperature and the time to reach the stable temperature during the trial operation of roller bearings are long. In addition, the temperature change cannot be stabilized due to the temperature rise caused by the re-infusion of grease, so it is necessary to run at the maximum speed for a long time. It is recommended to run the bearing at 500-1000 revolutions per minute and then increase the speed after the temperature has stabilized. dmn (rolling element center diameter*speed) exceeds the range of 300,000 revolutions and should be increased at 300 revolutions for safety reasons.
