1、In order to ensure maximum safety and reliability, it is recommended that you check the wheel bearings frequently no matter how old the car is – pay attention to whether the bearings have early warning signs of wear: including any frictional noise when turning or abnormal deceleration of the suspension combination wheel when turning, as well as shaking during the car driving, etc.
2、If you hear a noise from the wheel bearing area, first, it is important to find the location where the noise occurs. There are many moving parts that may produce noise, and it may be that some rotating parts are in contact with non-rotating parts. If the noise is confirmed to be in the bearing, the bearing may have been damaged and needs to be replaced.
3、Because the front hub leads to similar working conditions on both sides of the bearing failure, so even if only one bearing is bad, it is recommended to replace in pairs.
4, wheel bearings are more sensitive in any case need to use the correct method and the appropriate tools. In the process of storage and installation, the parts of the bearing should not be damaged. The condition of the shaft and housing should also be checked before mounting. Even minor wear can lead to poor fit and thus cause early failure of the bearing.
6. For wheel bearing units, do not attempt to disassemble the wheel bearing or adjust the seal of the wheel unit, otherwise the seal will be damaged leading to the entry of water or dust. Even the seal and the raceway of the inner ring are damaged, resulting in permanent failure of the bearing.

8、Wheel bearings equipped with ABS magnetic thrust ring, in order to determine which side the thrust ring is mounted on, you can use a small light iron object near the edge of the bearing, and the magnetic force generated by the bearing will attract it. Install the magnetic thrust ring with the side pointing inward, directly in front of the sensitive element of the ABS. Note:Incorrect installation may cause the brake system to fail to function.
9. Many bearings are sealed, and these bearings do not require greasing throughout their life. Other bearings that are not sealed such as double row tapered roller bearings must be lubricated with grease at the time of installation. It is difficult to determine how much grease to add because of the different size of the inner cavity of the bearing. The most important thing is to make sure there is grease in the bearing, if there is too much grease, when the bearing rotates, the excess grease will seep out. -General experience: in the installation, the total amount of grease to account for 50% of the clearance of the bearing.
10, when installing the lock nut because of the bearing type and bearing seat, the size of the torque varies greatly, should use a torque wrench to tighten each bolt and nut in accordance with the standard torque value.
